It's extremely difficult to write an updated user's manual of PicturesToExe, because of its continuous and rapid developement. Every year at least two new versions appear, and each time there is some major improvement.

Aside the on-line help of the program, from the WnSoft site it is possible to download an useful manual made with PTE: six simple presentations realized by Inna Malkova, 7 MB in all.

In English :

The best tutorial available now in English (made with PTE itself) has been written by Al Robinson, and can be downloaded from his site (but also from Beechbrook site). It's updated to v4.20 (not yet to 4.30), but is still valid overall.
For now - until Al Robinson himself or somebody else will write an updated tutorial - this is the only one clear and complete.

A new tutorial for beginners has been created by Inna Malkova of WnSoft.com. They are six little PTE presentations (7 MB total size).

Another new interesting, introductory tutorial (3 MB in pdf format) has been published by Roger ("ContaxMan").

- "Effects with PTE", by Patrick Bantzaff: a simple but very clear and useful review of PTE transition effects.
- "Create background" and "Non-Synchro create BG", by Oleg Lobachev and Carol Thomas: two very specialized tutorial about creating backgrounds by filters and layers with Photoshop,

In French :

There is an excellent «Help» made by Michel Comte in the same format as Windows official Helps (.chm), that can substitue for the original PTE Help. It is updated to latest versions (4.40 - 4.41).

In LeDiaporama.fr site there are also several tutorials about various subjects (in "Téléchargements").

An excellent PTE manual, up to date and very complete (there is also a little tutorial of Photoshop and another about Audacity sound editor) has been written by Laure Gigou, and is available on her site (http://aid.diaporama.free.fr/).

A very useful and interesting the French translation of the tutorial of Al Robinson quoted above has been made by Gérard Desroches . At the same address is available also a Dutch translation.
